How to Use Mockgrid

From zero to taking your first quiz in under 5 minutes. Follow these steps.

Get an AI Prompt for Your Subject

Visit the Prompts page and copy the prompt that matches your question type — General, Math/Science, or Bilingual (Hindi + English).

Each prompt is pre-written to produce a perfectly formatted CSV file that Mockgrid can read directly.

💡 For Hindi medium questions use the "Bilingual" prompt to get both Hindi and English in the same file.

Generate Your CSV with ChatGPT or Gemini

Open ChatGPT or Google Gemini. Paste the prompt, then upload your MCQ Sheet or add your MCQ questions below it.

The AI will output a properly formatted CSV. Copy the entire CSV output, come back to our Prompts page, scroll down to Step 2 � Paste & Download, paste the CSV text there and click Download to get your ready .csv file.

💡 You can also create the CSV manually in Excel or Google Sheets. See the CSV Format Guide for the exact column structure.

Upload Your File on the Quiz Page

Go to the Quiz page. Drag and drop your CSV or Excel file onto the upload area, or tap to browse your files.

Mockgrid will read the file instantly and show you a summary — total questions, languages found, and any image-flagged questions.

Configure Your Quiz Settings

Set your Exam Name, choose Quiz Mode (Instant Feedback or Test Mode), set a time limit, choose marks for correct/wrong answers, and pick a language if bilingual.

You can also shuffle questions and filter by subject or chapter.

⚡ Instant Mode shows correct/wrong after each question. 📝 Test Mode collects all answers then shows results at the end.

Take the Quiz

The quiz opens in full-screen mode with a timer, question palette, and navigation arrows. Use the palette to jump to any question and mark questions for review.

On mobile, swipe up to see the question palette. On desktop, it's on the right sidebar.

Review Your Scorecard & History

After submitting, see your full scorecard: score, accuracy, time taken, and a question-by-question answer sheet showing correct answers and solutions.

All quiz attempts are saved automatically in your browser. Visit History anytime to reattempt, resume paused quizzes, or review old results.

In bilingual quizzes, switch between Hindi and English at any time using the language toggle in the quiz header.

After uploading a CSV with image-flagged questions, upload the images on the setup page. They're stored in your browser.

Export your full quiz history and images as a JSON backup. Import it on another device to restore everything.
